Erik Mikkelson focuses his legal work on transactional matters with a specific focus on business law, estate planning, and real estate law.
While attending law school, Erik served as a judicial extern to the Honorable Teresa Liston during her work as a Retired Assigned Judge throughout the State of Ohio.
Prior to entering the legal field, Erik worked in both the public and private sectors of government doing stints in the Ohio Senate, Ohio Department of Natural Resources, and most recently Hicks Partners LLC, where he is currently the Director of State Government Relations.
Erik is a member of the Columbus Bar Association, Ohio State Bar Association and the Ohio Lobbying Association. Additionally, Erik’s love of music led to his election to the Board of Directors of the internationally acclaimed Carpe Diem String Quartet, where he handles the legal work surrounding the associated non-profit organization. He and his wife Amanda reside in Dublin, Ohio with their daughter, Madison, and Welsh Terrier, Duke.
